F8-1612 AM LEARNER
This very complete board has been designed to allow students to study amplitude modulation and demodulation on the same model.
In the same box are grouped 3 separate modules: the multiplier (AD633), the peak detector and the high pass filter.
To simplify the experiment, a sinusoidal generator was integrated into the turntable. It is thus possible to use only one external function generator for the modulating signal, the carrier signal being produced directly by the board. The inputs and outputs of each module are accessible by banana safety sockets. Rotary selectors make it possible to choose the values of the capacitors and resistors.
It is thus possible to highlight the roles of each component in the demodulation chain and observe the effects of a bad RC time constant on the peak detector and the high pass filter.
